Home Support

We provide support to home users within 25 miles of Worcester (see map) and provide free callouts within 10 miles of our location. We can fix many problems remotely and can offer remote support to clients outside of our normal service area. With over 30 years experience, working in the IT industry, we are sure to be able to resolve your problem quickly and efficiently.

Business Support

We know how frustrating it can be when you are a small business and experience IT issues, but with our vast experience we should be able to diagnose your problems quickly and efficiently and get you up and running again as soon as possible. Darrell Haslam worked as an IT manager for nearly 30 years supporting 60 pcs and three Microsoft servers. His methodical approach will ensure we find the root cause of any issues and put a permanent solution in place to prevent future issues.

We offer a range of IT support issues ranging from single-incident support to full support contracts. We can support Windows servers, PCs, laptops and Mac systems including MacBooks, IMacs and iPads. Some of the areas where we can help (but by no means all) include:

We cover an area within a 25 miles radius of Worcester as highlighted by the blue circles in the map above. We provide free call outs within 10 miles of Worcester as shown by the inner circle. A callout fee is charged for areas in the outer circle. We can provide remote support to areas outside the indicated area at £50 for business users or £30 per hour for home users.

Instant Remote Support

If you have an immediate problem we can remotely connect to your system to diagnose any issues or talk you through how to accomplish whatever task you are having problems with.

If you are using Windows 10 or 11, we find Quick Assist works well. This software is built into the operating system in Windows 10 or above and requires no further software to be downloaded.

When Quick Assist starts, you should see a screen similar to the one shown.

Simply enter the code that we give you in the box highlighted and click on Allow on any subsequent prompts and we will be able to see and control your computer screen to help with any issues. The code used is a one-time code and is only valid for a single connection so we will not be able to connect to your system again without your express permission.

We charge £30 per hour for remote support for home users and £50 per hour for business users (remote support is free to customers with a support contract in place).

Quick Assist

Other Remote Support Options

Quick Assist only works with Windows 10 or above. If you are using an older version of Windows (e.g. Windows 7) or if you are using a MAC system, there are several other remote support options that we can use.

Google Remote Desktop

Google Remote desktop works on any computer using Google Chrome, including Windows or Mac systems.

It requires a Chrome extension to be installed, but is fairly easy to set up. Follow this link, for detailed information about setting up Google Remote Desktop.

One you have successfully installed the extension (and set the security permissions if using a Mac system above Mojave) you should see a screen similar to the one shown.

Simply click on the button that says Generate Code. If all is working correctly you should see a 12 digit code. Once again, simply provide us with this code and accept the prompts to allow us to access your system. The code is only valid for one session and has a 5 minute expiry time.
